2 months agoPhenomenal food and easily some of, if not the best Hawaiian food in town that all the former or visiting islanders seem to congregate at if that helps sell my point about quality. 🤌🤌 The two people I have seen working there each of the multiple times I have visited are very kind and informative if you do have questions. Supplies sell out quick(er and quicker) so come when they open for guaranteed full menu and always check the specials!🔥🔥 Highly recommend the regular menu Poke Nachos, Fried Noodles and Lau Lau but you honestly cannot go wrong here in any regard.

3 months agoWe live on the coast and come by to Portland for appointments. Everything we come through the city we always try a new spot. Since my husband is a local boy from Hawaii we are always trying the food trucks that remind him of home. The kalua pork nachos were ono 😍 the wonton chips were so good and complemented the kalua and sauces. I had the lomi salmon on the side since im pregnant but I know it will complement the dish really well. My husband ordered the firecracker chicken and enjoyed it too! Was a little heavy on the sweet chilli and thought it was going to have a spicy kick to it. I tried it and the chicken was nice I just thought it would've had more of a crunch to it. Either way im happy to come back, ig was worth it. Mahalo

My family and I split four different plates—Garlic Chicken, Fried Chicken, the pork, and the garlic noodles—and every single dish was absolutely fantastic. In a metro area like portland, where Hawaiian joints seem to blend into one another with similar menus, Paradise Grinds boldly stands out. What truly sets this gem apart is its unapologetic uniqueness. Each dish bursts with authentic flavors, clearly crafted with passion and dedication. You can genuinely feel the love and care behind every bite. I even had the pleasure of meeting the family behind this wonderful restaurant, and it’s clear they’re pouring their hearts and hard work into bringing us a genuine taste of their island home. If you want far more than just another Hawaiian joint, Paradise Grinds should be at the very top of your list. A truly special find!

5 months agoOrdered some catering for our team event and am so impressed. The food was freshly made or just being finished as I arrived for the pre-arranged pick up time. It’s not easy to find chicken long rice and it transported great—there was just enough broth to be absorbed by the noodles but not be mushy. The galbi was amazingly tender and so delicious! Mac salad was bomb! Great prices, delicious food, reliable to pick up, and friendly service. We can’t wait to come back to order regular plates from the cart.

5 months agoI paid 13 bucks for the paradise bowl and I feel like I did not get my money’s worth. Very disappointed. If I paid around double I would have gotten 4-5 times as much food at Hina’s. I will not be buying here again and will go to Hina’s instead. I am changing my 1 star to 3 stars because the food had good flavor (minus the bland mac salad). Please do better.

7 months agoWe love our Hawaii people... where the true meaning of aloha is brought to life through ono hawaiian foods, the shared joys, and authentic work ethics! The staff and owners are most appreciated! Mahalo nui loa, for sharing aloha in Oregon!! P.S.: every so often, we will drive the 100+ miles, just to get a small little taste of home 🥹

8 months agoWanted to give this place a try. Was craving poke. The photos looked good. If you get there when opened doesn't take to long for your food, but later the wait is at least 20 min. We got poke nachos, volcano nachos( poke and pork) and a side of garlic fried chicken( which was 2 pieces). The nachos were really good. The chicken wasn't as fried as I like it. Seating is limited with a few tables with umbrellas. Street parking.
